lemon stamp

I have been working on designing my brother's wedding invitation... but I was in a rut trying to figure out a direction. Their color palette is a beautiful + unique combination of lemon yellow + navy blue seen on Snippet & Ink.

I finally had a break through when I started coloring lemons and rolling them on paper.

Isn't that texture pretty? After rolling the lemon, I scanned the paper and used Photoshop to combine the pattern to a larger area. I just love the texture and I am planning on coloring my food more often for notes, thank you cards, etc.

I love this! Who knew fruit had so many uses? I just made an asparagus salad last night and sprinkled some fresh lemon juice on top - yum! Lemons and limes are great.
