brooklyn flea market

Flea market, tag sale, yard sale, vintage store... you name it, I love it.

We finally made it to the Brooklyn Flea Market on Saturday, it was great. During the winter it is held indoors in Dumbo and starting next month it returns to the outdoor location in Fort Greene. Details here.

highlights//////////

household treasures
funny glasses (see below)
great vintage clothing finds
samples of fruit preserves, spreads, etc.
beautiful jewelry
vintage jewelry
art
furniture
...and more

Kathryn tried a banana/honey/peanut butter mini-cupcake from Kumquat Cupcakery that she said was irresistable. If you could plan a day-trip down to the flea market you will have a great time browsing the shops.

It used to be on Sundays, didn't it? I went last spring when we came to visit and had delicious goodies from Whimsy & Spice and Kumquat. I didn't realize they were open on Saturdays now. Excited to check it out again.

(Also, it was lovely meeting you on Sunday!)

Kumquat Bakery was SO amazing. I was disappointed to find out that they don't have a storefront. However - they take orders and deliver, and the prices are reasonable. I need a reason to celebrate so that I have an excuse! Yum.
